This anxious and aggressive clock brings awareness about the depletion of resources that highlight the end of the Inuit’s income. It shows the multiplicity of different time lines on different axis’s. In Barrow this creature shows British Petroleum, Shell, Greenpeace and ANWR. Over a time scale, this clock will perform its many different choreographies. The Inupiaq natives use dance as a form of storytelling and communicating information thus new cultural relationships are made with these creatures as some believe it to be the bringer of death to their tradition whereas others see it as a guardian of their economy, just as the whale brought them food, this creature starts a new form of folklore. This oil clock gathers the data from the nearing oil fields and dances along the arctic terrain as a form of its output.
