Consumerism is at an all time high throughout the world. The manufacturing industry is now flourishing as a result. China has one of the largest manufacturing industries, that supply goods throughout the world, many of the items that we buy in shops today are made in China.
However as the manufacturing industry grows, the agricultural industry - one of China's other largest industry suffers.
Due to the decreased workforce, many parts of China is no longer self sufficient in terms of food. A lot of the land previously used to grow food has now been transformed into factory landscapes.
The goal of this project is to address this growing problem, to reinvent agriculture in a whole, to introduce it into an urban environment, without interfering with current urban lifestyles.
