The medium is the message. /M. McLuhan/ Politics means propaganda – and with the rise of Internet-based social media, this propaganda is now everywhere, having transformed the whole political process into a media-circus that is more about entertainment and name-calling than actual political agenda - epitomized in the City of London by the Lord Mayor's Show and the Occupy movement. Guildhall 2012 is a playground at the heart of this: a place that exists in media-space, in between physical parades and protests and the virtual imagery that depicts these events, augmenting them in the process, and creating multiple co-existing, politically charged realities.
