New social core for the dying Walthamstow High Street
On basis of a series of experiments in the Walthamstow High Street, which investigate the physical and the non-physical elements involved in the spatial and operational systems of the High Street; a new social core got inserted into the corridor of the High Street- a composite spatial intervention that consists of physical and social structures.
The new social core aims reactivate the dying High Street. It acts as a catalyst generating an alternative public space- a space of controlled social interaction.
