This project aims to design a cultural plaza embedded with a degree of flexibility in order to accommodate varying kinds of events. By gathering information from the site and mapping the path of various kinds of designated users – those who currently used the site as well as from calculations made of the new programme, initial geometry was generated. Three systems emerged from this initial geometry: a ceiling system, lighting system and furniture system. Each system has the capacity to respond, change and adapt to different event programmes as well as changes in the number of users within the plaza. These systems, which operating on a local level, are able to be integrated together on a global scale.
